Warden Welcome: Christina Papathanasiou

Meet Carlton Hill's Warden, Christina!

Hello and welcome to Carlton Hill and the University of Leeds! My name’s Christina Papathanasiou and I’m the Residence Life Warden at your halls.

As Warden, it’s my role to make sure that every resident has a pleasant and productive time at Carlton Hill. I do this through helping with any welfare and flatmate issues that you may experience, dealing with any anti-social behaviour that may disturb you, and developing our small community via a wide range of social activities.

You can contact me by emailing CarltonHill@leeds.ac.uk. My normal working days and hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm during term time (excluding University closure days and bank holidays). I’m also supported by four Residence Life Assistants (RLAs), who you can reach out to for immediate, discreet, and empathetic support by phoning 07345436087 from 6pm until 8am on weekdays and all day on weekends and bank holidays during term time.

This is only the third year Carlton Hill has been in operation, and it’s already become one of the most active and vibrant University of Leeds residences to live at! However, we need your input for this to continue, so please consider joining our Residence Life Social Committee (RLSC), the role of which is to run community-building, fun, and inclusive events for Carlton Hill. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership and other transferable skills, enhance your CV, and expand your social circle while having fun! Did you know that our Social Committee was nominated in almost all eligible categories in last year’s Halls Awards? That’s us in the photo proudly celebrating our nominations and win! If you haven’t already done this, don’t forget to follow the Carlton Hill Social Committee on Instagram (@carltonhillsocialcommittee) to keep up-to-date with all that’s happening at our residence (and beyond) over the year.

I can’t wait to meet all of you soon, and I hope you have a great start and a fantastic time with us this year!
