I love travelling, seeing new places, and experiencing new cultures! When I first got to the UK in September last year, I was able to visit 10 cities across the country just over a span of six months while balancing academics, part-time work, and adjusting to university life.

I'd say that being an RLA means that it is an incredible opportunity to build rapport with fellow students, help foster a thriving and sociable community, and significantly contribute to a safe and inclusive living environment.

Try not to stay in your room all the time! Unless you're sleeping or studying, get involved in Residence Life's events, use the shared spaces, and say hello to the people you're living with. Sometimes, your best uni memories can come from simply being out and about.

One of my interests is music. I listen to almost every genre on earth, and my Spotify wrapped minutes are always super high every year.

I would describe my role as an RLA as a reliable and friendly face in Halls, where I am there to help other students settle into University life as smooth as possible.

My top tip for living in Halls would be making your bedroom your special cosy place, but also to make the most of the social spaces in your Hall! Whether it’s cooking with your flatmates or hanging out in the common room, popping out of your room and being social with everybody is an amazing way to make friends.
