Meet friends and neighbours through Unibuddy

So you’re coming to Leeds this September? Amazing news! We’re sure you’re already in a frenzy of preparation, packing and planning for the year ahead, and we’re definitely sure that you’re wondering the same thing as everybody else - who will you be living with?

Well, wonder no more, our University of Leeds residents’ group chat through Unibuddy is now live.

How can I join?

Have you confirmed that you will be studying at University of Leeds and accepted an offer of accommodation in University of Leeds halls?  If the answer is ‘yes’, then you’re on the list!

Look out for an email coming to your University of Leeds email address with your personal invitation to the community.

If you haven’t received your invitation yet, sit tight – your invitation will be with you soon!

Who can join?

In the interests of safety, privacy and cutting down on spam messages, only those who will be residents in University of Leeds halls for the year 2025-2026 will be invited to the community.

How does it work?

When you receive your personal invitation to join the Unibuddy community, please sign up using your University of Leeds email address.

Once you’ve made and verified your account, you’ll be able to access the University of Leeds accommodation community, which features a range of different groups for you to get involved with – including one for your specific accommodation!

Why should I join?

There is no requirement to join the community, but we want to give you another way to start feeling connected to Leeds before you arrive. We understand that starting University is a big deal, and connecting with others before you arrive can help you feel more prepared.
