Join in to meet new people and enjoy free pizza!
There is a step free access to the outside area of St. Mark's.
How the event will run: This is an optional event. You can arrive and leave at any point during the event. Free pizza will be provided at the event. A pizza van will start serving pizza from 5 pm, students can queue to order 1 pizza each. You will be able to meet other students living at your residence during this event.
Know the Area: Walking Tour
Saturday 20th September from 3pm
Meet at St. Mark's Common Room
Walking tour of the area including how to get to campus and useful places nearby.
The walking tour will show areas near the residence and on campus. The route will be along roads and pedestrianised areas which are wheelchair accessible.
How the event will run: Students will meet at the common room and leave as a group. The Warden will highlight useful places for them to know. Students can return with the Warden to the residence, or can choose to stay out. You will need to arrive at the start of the tour.

Mandatory Welcome Talk & Dinner
Thursday 25th September from 7pm
The Refectory, Leeds University Union
Mandatory welcome talk with important information followed by free food.
The Refectory is accessible via a ramp at the front entrance, and inside the venue there is step-free access throughout. An accessible toilet is located inside Leeds University Union in the foyer area, near to the Refectory.
How this event will run: This talk from your Residence Life Warden involves a presentation for approximately an hour which explains important information about living in residences, support and opportunities. This will be followed by free dinner in the Refectory and this will encourage socialising, chatting and meeting other people from your building. This talk is mandatory for all residents.
Outdoor Film Night
Friday 26th September 6.30pm - 9pm
Outside St.Marks
Join in for an outdoor movie screening of the Greatest Show Man!
There is a step free access to the outside area of St. Mark's.
How this event will run: This is an optional event. At this event you will be able to watch a screening of the Greatest Show Man. The screening will take place outdoors. You can join and leave at any time you would like. If there is a request for subtitles on the film, these can be turned on by the member of staff who brings the movie screen to the residence.
