Ways to make Campus more Sustainable!

Repair Café

At the Repair Café, skilled volunteers help to fix your broken items. This can be anything from clothes to phones, to jewellery, to toasters!

Campus Gardening

Campus Gardening is an opportunity for students to take a break and help make campus a greener place. In these sessions you can learn how to plant, harvest, preservation, and sustainable gardening. No Experience needed!

Dates:

Gardening sessions happen every Wednesday from 1 pm - 3pm in Chancellors Court (next to Rodger Stevens)

Royal Park Community Gardening

Come along for a fun day of gardening at Royal Park Community Garden. No experience needed and volunteers will be treated to a free lunch!

Saturday 11th October, 12pm - 4pm, Royal Park Community Garden

New Wortley Community Gardening

Come along for a day of Community Gardening at New Wortley Community Gardening. Volunteers will be working on completing a mini urban nature trail, and planting new bulbs for spring! Volunteers will receive a free lunch.

Friday 17th October, 10am - 3pm, Meet at Parkinson Steps (transport to New Wortley Provided)

Community Litter Pick

The Community Litter Pick is an opportunity to make your local community a better place, while also meeting new people! These are monthly meetings starting at 11am that end at Hyde Park Book Club where volunteers are treated to cakes and coffee.

Bike Maintenance

In these free bike maintenance sessions, you'll learn how to perform regular maintenance on your bike. Each session covers a different element of maintenance!
